The fat smash diet was a diet book written by Dr. Ian Smith, and made popular on a VH1 show called Celebrity Fit Club
Where B. list celebrities competed to lose the most weight. The diet relies on improving eating and exercise habits.
The fat smash diet creator has a long resume. He's Harvard educated, consults on health for a number of television shows, and is on the board for the American Council on Exercise. He also created the TV show that was centered around his fat smash diet.
There are four phases within the fat smash diet:
One – detox: During this nine day phase of the fat smash diet people purge their bodies and minds of bad things, while losing up to six pounds. Dr. Smith had some strangely useless suggestions for this phase such as walking around naked.
Two – foundation: The smash diet uses this three wekk phase to re-add some of the foods cut out during detox. These include the 3 ounces of meat or seafood, and is based on portion control rather than calorie count.
Three – construction: The fat smash diet builds a healthy eating plan over the course of these four weeks, utilizing foods the dieter enjoys. Moderation is important when things like sweets and breads are added back to the diet.
Four – Temple: This part of the fat smash diet lasts a life time. People utilize the lessons learned about moderation to protect the temple the built throughout the first three phases.
The fat smash diet isn't all good or all bad. The initial 6 to 10 pound weight loss is really due to severe calorie cutting which can be dangerous.
Many experts find that nine day detox phase to be troubling. But the fat smash diet is spot on when it comes to eating in moderation and physical activity.
